Scalloped Potatoes

Here’s an easy recipe for scalloped potatoes:

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (like cheddar)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder or onion powder for extra flavor

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and a bit of garlic or onion powder if you want.
  4. Pour half of the cream or milk over the potatoes, then sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream, and cheese.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 45 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
